ERASMUS+ SCHOOL EXCHANGE OSLO (NORWAY) 1st - 7th December 2019

A group of students from Norway, Denmark, Poland and Spain took part in a school exchange in Oslo, the European green city 2019, and put into practice the main goal of the Erasmus project “Green Power against Noise Pollution”. During this week there were activities arranged by Norwegian partners at Kongshavn school. 
On Sunday 1s ,  students from Poland, Denmark and Spain arrived at Oslo where they had a warm welcome and were picked up by their host families. 
On Monday 2nd,  Norwegian, Polish, Danish and Spanish students met and did several ice-breaking activities at Kongshavn school to get to know each other. Next, at  Oslo City Hall the students were given an interesting speech about Oslo Green Capital, noise issues in Oslo by a representative of Urban environment Agency and a  guided tour around the main rooms of the City Hall, which was built in 1950, where important events and ceremonies take place, including the Nobel Peace Prize every December. 


























During the afternoon the students were working on eTwinning platform doing some activities related to noise pollution. The students in Denmark, Poland and Norway who didn't travel had also access to the activities. 






    

On Tuesday 3rd, students watched a film on Northern Lights and then they did some ice-breaking activities, a workshop on Green Power at Kongshavn school. Later they experienced a sound walk around different areas in Oslo with a landscape architect and learnt how noise pollution can be avoided or lowered from a technical point of view. Also at Kongshavn auditorium, some students from Kongshavn school did their presentations on noise pollutions in Oslo. They showed their measures in the streets, how noise pollution affects people’s health as well as the citizens’ opinions about this issue. Then Erasmus students also did a workshop activity in Twin Space to cooperate in European values using modern technology in mixed groups. Finally, Erasmus students and host students had an Erasmus dinner at Kongshavn school.





















On Wednesday 4th students attended a course in noise pollution “What is noise and how to fight it” and later they could apply the acquired knowledge in a creative workshop at Kongshavn school. Soon after, they went out on tour in quite areas and also visited Viking Ships, Kon-Tiki and Fram museums as the best examples of valuable cultural heritage.
















On Thursday 5th Erasmus students had the opportunity to participate in foreign language lessons at Kongshavn school. Next, they went to the Norwegian Association against Noise Pollution, where members of this association not only talked about the real situation in Oslo, as far as noise pollution is concerned but also about solutions to reduce it in cities. In the afternoon, students visited Munch Museum where they could stare at one of the versions of The Scream that got stolen in 1994, among other important artists’ paintings. Finally, they even enjoyed a guided tour at the Opera House.


















On Friday 6th Erasmus students expressed through a work of art their own experiences during their stay at Oslo. They also were skiing at Holmenkollen Ski Arena and had a farewell dinner at Kongshavn school to say goodbye to their exchange partners.
